For the past twenty-five (25) years, I have worked with mental health and financial professionals, as part of my representation of clients in all types of family law cases. I have found there is an added value to the legal services I can provide to a client by taking such a team approach.

Mental health professionals are able to assist and support a client:

  • Improve his or her communications skills.
  • Develop the confidence required to talk to, listen to, and negotiate with, her or his spouse or other party, in a meaningful way.
  • Provide information and advice on child development and parenting issues.

Financial professionals are able to assist and support a client in dealing with a variety of issues, including:

  • Budgeting
  • Financial education
  • Division of assets
  • Division of debts
  • Determining child support
  • Determining maintenance (alimony/spousal support).
